After the Flood in Genesis, God declared, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22, NKJV). This declaration is beyond the sowing of monetary gifts to reap a plentiful harvest! This was a warning and a promise for the living to be mindful of what they sowed. Take a look around the world, people and nations are sowing seeds; if they know what the outcome of the seeds they are sowing presently will be in a couple of years, they will be very mindful of their sowing: “God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest” (Galatians 6:7, TPT). You cannot sow wickedness, lies, subterfuge, and evil in lives and hope to reap loyalty, trust, and kindness from them!

Daily, as an individual or as a society, you are either sowing or harvesting that which had been sown. What God said in Genesis 8:22 is a constant, and will only cease when the earth is no more! Today, so many lives are in disarray because they are reaping the harvest of the seeds they had sown in their lives. Many in their prime and evening of their lives are sad and disquieted in their minds because of the evil they had sown in their lives, families, business, and society. For these, it is not too late to make amends before they leave the earth, as many of their sowings may impact greatly their eternal destination when they leave the earth.

The other day, a young man was saying so many are afraid to die because they know what they had sown will not get them entrance into the Everlasting Presence of the Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe, but has reserved a place in Everlasting torment for them! Even their legacies are sorrows tears and anguish for their loved ones. To the outsider, it looks like they are doing well or have done well! If you are in this class, it is not too late to make amends! As a young person, this is your time of sowing good seeds, bearing in mind that whatever you sow is exactly the kind of seeds you will reap. The Bible tells us: “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy…” (Hosea 10:12a, NKJV).

What you are sowing now matters and you will reap exactly what you are sowing down the line. Everyone may forget, but God does not forget, and His Word will not lie! Sow goodness in character, integrity, loyalty, truth and right standing with God and you will reap a harvest of peace and favor with God and man. To sow deceptive, falsehood, hypocritical seeds is to reap a life of disappointments and sorrow. “The wicked man earns deceptive wages, But he who sows righteousness and lives his life with integrity will have a true reward [that is both permanent and satisfying]” (Proverbs 11:18 AMP).

Beloved, it may look like those that have gone ahead are prospering even though they are hypocrites, false, deceptive and do not walk in the truth of God’s Word. Your heart tells you if they could do it and get away with it, you can as well. Don’t be deceived. Every man will see the reward of their sowing before they leave the earth. You may argue that some didn’t. You may be right, but the Bible tells us: “He who sows injustice will reap [a harvest of] trouble, And the rod of his wrath [with which he oppresses others] will fail” (Proverbs 22:8 AMP), “As I have seen, those who plow wickedness And those who sow trouble and harm harvest it”  (Job 4:8 AMP) and “For they sow the wind [in evil] And they reap the whirlwind [in disaster]. The standing grain has no growth; It yields no grain. If it were to yield, strangers would swallow it up” (Hosea 8:7 AMP).

Beloved, the time to be nonchalant about the seeds you sow daily has gone. This is the time for us to sow good seeds, so we can reap a harvest of peace, righteousness, and prosperity in Christ Jesus. For this reason, we must break up our hard hearts and sow seeds of faith and good works by seeking the Lord and doing His will daily: “Sow with a view to righteousness [that righteousness, like seed, may germinate]; Reap by mercy and lovingkindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, For it is time to seek and search diligently for the Lord [and too long for His blessing] Until He comes to rain righteousness and His gift of salvation on you” (Hosea 10:12 AMP). May God help us to look critically and closely at the seeds we sow every day, so we can reap a harvest of His favor, goodness, and mercies every day of our lives, in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen! God bless you.
