Christian credibility is lost when our behavior reveals that we are controlled by sinful desires rather than the Holy Spirit in our day to day lives. We cannot expect others to believe a message that is contradicted by our actions. On a daily basis we must put to death those actions that will tarnish our testimony. We must therefore strive to consciously and consistently forsake evil desires and pursue the righteous things of God. Romans 8:12-13.
